What does the procedure involve?

The first step in achieving clear, healthy, radiant skin will involve a deep cleanse. We use a specialist formulation to remove any impurities.

Following the deep cleanse, a unique Tri-Fruit Acid Lynton fruit peel will be applied to your skin, for anywhere between 3 and 10 minutes. This peel resurfaces your skin texture and decongests the pores, priming your skin ready for the next stage of treatment.

After the fruit peel, your skin will be at its optimum condition for the application of the award-winning Lynton Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment. This works by both stimulating collagen and targeting any discolouration on your skin, such as freckles, pigmentation, vascular breakouts and general redness. In most cases, the results are instant, providing you with dramatically clearer, firmer skin.

To help maximise the results of your illumiFacial treatment, a trio of specialist serums will be applied to your skin post-IPL, helping soothe, regenerate and protect your skin.

FAQs

An illumiFacial is a skincare treatment that combines two popular facial treatments: a medical-grade chemical peel and intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy. This dual approach addresses various skin concerns simultaneously.

Firstly, a chemical peel is applied to exfoliate the skin and stimulate collagen production. Then, IPL is used to target issues like pigmentation, redness, and broken blood vessels. The combination of these two treatments can result in a rejuvenated and more even-toned complexion.

The illumiFacial can be used for a wide variety of skin concerns , including:

  • Skin rejuvenation
  • Skin tone
  • Age spots
  • Pigmentation
  • General redness
  • Vascular breakouts
  • Acne

The illumiFacial is generally safe for individuals with a wide range of skin types and tones. However, it’s essential to consult with a skincare professional to determine if this treatment is suitable for your specific skin concerns and needs. We can assess your skin’s condition and recommend the appropriate treatment plan, taking into account factors like skin sensitivity and potential side effects.

The downtime needed following an illumifacial is typically minimal. Some redness and mild peeling may occur, but this usually resolves within a few days. It’s essential to follow post-treatment care instructions, such as wearing sunscreen and avoiding direct sun exposure, to protect your skin during the healing process.

The number of sessions required for optimal results can vary depending on your skin concerns and goals. Many people see noticeable improvements after a single treatment, but a series of sessions, typically spaced a few weeks apart, may be recommended for more significant and long-lasting results. We create bespoke treatment plans based on your specific needs.

You may experience a superficial tingling feeling on the skin and you may see a darkening of pigment spots before they flake away – this means the treatment has worked perfectly in providing you with a more even, flawless skin tone. As well as clearer, healthier skin, you will also experience an ongoing improvement to the firmness and plumpness of your skin in the following months post-treatment, as new collagen is stimulated deep within the skin tissue.
